This month The Palace Theatre will be hosting the English National Ballet who will perform their spell bounding rendition of Swan Lake, one of ballet’s most famous works. Performances taking place between 5th – 8th October 2022 so make sure to book tickets soon.

4. Experience children’s books coming alive at The Lowry

Picture This at The Lowry will bring 6 of the most popular children’s books alive on stage. Each section of this free family exhibition will include illustrations and artwork from the books – which range from much-loved modern works to iconic classics. Throughout there will be interactive opportunities for visitors to draw, write, perform, read and play and even devise their own production ideas. 5. Get spooked with Halloween in the City

October welcomes a number of spooky events in Manchester city centre to mark the arrival of Halloween. From 28 – 30 October a Carnival of Monsters will tumble onto New Cathedral Street – a family-friendly freakshow with roaming circus monsters, sideshow stalls, a kids’ carousel and a traditional helter-skelter.  A massive monster music festival will also hit the city’s streets – including an invasion of spooky DJs, live performances and a storytelling stage and don’t forget to look up as the MCR Monsters take over some of the city’s infamous buildings!
